Set on a natural rock ledge above the Long Island Sound, The Lighthouse Home is composed with restraint to feel calm and deliberate. Two volumes set the house in place; a glassy central link, where the main living spaces are, holds the two together and opens to a covered porch for everyday time outside. All primary rooms are situated within the main forms, which provide generous ceiling heights and a clear sense of vertical space.

The exterior remains pared back, featuring white-painted brick, dark metal-framed windows, and a slender profile that keeps the focus on proportion over ornament.  From the street, it reads composed and appropriate; from the water, the long, low volumes feel settled into the site.

Inside, the palette remains quiet, so the view leads.  Rooms connect with long sightlines and generous openings, making movement intuitive. Built-ins and simple detailing give each area a clear purpose, while the central living space aligns kitchen, dining, and outdoor living.

Above all, the house is made to meet the Sound. Windows capture the water in a series of quiet frames, thresholds run clean to invite life outdoors, and the whole experience stays measured and unforced.  The home then feels like less of an addition to the coastline, but something that exists in concert with it.
